ORGANISATION OF THE METHODIST CHURCH: PART 1
Introduction

Solihull Methodist Church is a large organisation. It has over 200 members. So it can be difficult to understand how it is organised and who takes responsibility for what. Further, Solihull is just one church out of many in England, Scotland and Wales. These together form the Methodist Church in Britain and again there is an organisation in place to try to ensure these operate well together.
These notes attempt to explain something of the organisational structure of the Methodist Church. The first sections look at the structure of the church nationally. The later sections consider the structure within a single local church and use Solihull Methodist Church as an example of such a local church.
