Project Events: 2025-26

Below are events which have happened or which are taking place in the near future. By popular demand, these are now given in reverse date order. So events that have not yet taken place appear first, followed by reviews of those which have happened.

• A Night of Escape Rooms

  Saturday 18 April at 6:00pm.

  Can you find the clues, solve the puzzles and complete the objective to escape from the room? Teams of four or five people will work together to complete the rooms and escape.

  Supper will be provided to ensure we do not lose anyone on the way! Please let us know any dietary requirements as you book. If you can, please obtain or reserve tickets beforehand so that catering can be organised. Tickets are £10 per person. Tickets can be reserved here.

• In Concert with SMASH

  Saturday 21 March at 7:00pm.

  Come and enjoy the talents of our SMASHers and the Cantonese Choir in concert in the church.

  Tickets are £10 and are available here.

  They will also be on sale in the Hall after Sunday morning services nearer the time.

• 

• Quiz Night

  Saturday 28 February at 7:00pm.

  Join us for an enjoyable quiz night and put your knowledge to the test. Bring your friends and family for an evening of friendly competition, great company, and a jacket potato supper included.

  If you can, please obtain or reserve tickets beforehand so that catering can be arranged.

  Tickets are £7.50 per person. Tickets can be reserved here.

• Family Fun Evening

  Friday 23 January at 6:00pm.

  It was a fun evening when the Youth Club organised for the church family to raise funds for the church project. All ages of the church family were present, ranging from 5 to 87 year olds, and a really good time was had by all.

  There were many activities including: skittles, darts, jenga, charades and quizzes. Everyone was allocated to a table which was hosted by two of the youngsters and they did an excellent job of guiding the older ones through the activities.

• Project Puzzles

  It is back. A new edition of Project Puzzles is now available. There are twelve brand new puzzles to have a go at, all related to Methodism or to Solihull. And you do not have to solve all of them. This year there will be prizes for correct answers to any four, six of eight of the puzzles, or for all twelve of them.

  So why not obtain a copy for yourself for the amazingly low price of £5. Or send copies to delight (or challenge) your family and friends. Copies are available from the Church Office or in the Hall after Sunday morning services.

• Out of the Blue Big Band

  On Saturday evening, 6 December, we were wonderfully entetained by the Out of the Blue Big Band as they helped us Swing into Christmas.

  As well as seasonal favourites, we were also reminded of the musical greats such as Frank Sinatra, Glenn Miller and Cab Calloway. It was a most enjoyable evening.
