Greener Church Group: Barbecue Service

• Each year in the summer, the Greener Church Group organises a Barbecue Service. This is held in the evening and, as the name suggests, there is food available — including a vegetarian option. After this, there is a short (approximately 30 minutes) service of worship which often considers an aspect of God’s creation and possibly also the threats arising from the nations’ global activities.

  The barbecue and the service normally take place outside the church and this is a means of witnessing to the local community. Only once is recent years has heavy rain forced us to retreat into the church building.
