Each year, Solihull Methodist Church runs a project to collect funds to support a chosen charity. Normally the charity alternates between one which is overseas and one which is in the UK, often based close to Solihull. Each project runs from the autumn of one year to the summer of the next.

This year, the chosen charity is the Awareness Foundation which is an international education and training charity, with a special focus on the Middle East.

To support the project, various events are organised. These include activities such as barn dances, quiz nights, and bake-off competitions.
