We have a number of church groups meeting on our premises and elsewhere during the week, allowing people to meet more informally for friendship and fellowship. You are invited to visit any of the following groups.
Our amateur drama group “Solihull Methodists Acting and Singing in Harmony” stages musical shows and plays, and organises social evenings and events with a theatrical slant. Open to all, SMASH offers an opportunity for fellowship to those with an interest in theatrical activities on or off stage. SMASH meets at 19:30 each Wednesday when rehearsing a production.
We sit down to a light lunch of soup, roll, fruit and cake at 13:00 on the second and fourth Wednesdays in the month and then enjoy an interesting talk until about 14.30. Cost £3.00. Everyone is welcome. Watch out for our full programme and just come along! We also stage a number of outings over the summer months. The 2019-20 season will begin on 25th September; see here for our programme.
Men’s Coffee Club
An informal and friendly gathering for men, meeting at 10:30 every Tuesday morning in the Church Hall, where we regularly “put the world to rights” by discussing topical issues.
Drop-in between 14:00-16:00 on the first and third Thursdays of every month.
Join us for a variety of activities and games with other adults as we share tea/coffee, homemade cakes and friendship together.
Rambles are held on the third Thursday of each month. We meet at church, and share the driving to the start of our walk. During the day, we will have a picnic lunch or use a local hostelry, depending on the expected weather conditions. All church members and friends are welcome.
The Badminton Club meets every Thursday evening in the Church Hall for social badminton. Old or young, all are welcome.
