We have a number of church groups meeting on our premises and elsewhere during the week, allowing people to meet more informally for friendship and fellowship. You are invited to visit any of the following groups.
SMASH
‘Solihull Methodists Acting and singing in Harmony’ are an amateur drama group and an integral part of SMC where we rehearse and stage annual musicals and plays. We are open to all from age 7 and offer fellowship to those interested in theatrical activities on or off the stage. Rehearsals take place on Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings from September, productions run for one week during March. If you are interested in joining us, please contact us via our website www.solihull-smash.org.uk.
Soupa Talks
We sit down to a light lunch of soup, roll, fruit and cake at 13:00 on the second and fourth Wednesdays in the month and then enjoy an interesting talk until about 14.30. Cost £5.00. Everyone is welcome. Watch out for our full programme and just come along! We also stage a number of outings over the summer months. See here for our programme.
Men’s Coffee Club
An informal and friendly gathering for men, meeting at 10:30 every Tuesday morning in the Church Hall, where we regularly “put the world to rights” by discussing topical issues.
Rambling Club
Rambles are held on the third Thursday of each month. We meet at church, and share the driving to the start of our walk. During the day, we will have a picnic lunch or use a local hostelry, depending on the expected weather conditions. All church members and friends are welcome.
Badminton Club
The Badminton Club meets every Thursday evening in the Church Hall for social badminton. Old or young, all are welcome.
