The Church project for 2023 and 2024 will support a number of projects needed by the Matthew Rusike Children’s Home (MRCH) in Zimbabwe. The project will be launched with Church Family Christmas card during November and a concert starring the ‘Out of the Blue’ Big Band Saturday 9th December.
The school has suggested that we support a new classroom and solar panels for the improvement of the Early Child Development Centre (ECD). The centre caters for the institutionalised children as well as those under the Community Based Orphan Care Programme. The centre has an enrolment of 45 between the ages of 3 to 6 years. The facility serves as a children’s play area and also prepares children for formal entry into Grade One.
The Church is also working with the UK-based Charity: Friends of Matthew Rusike Project , which has helped us get to know the home quickly and helped with ensuring funds can be managed easily.
