Rainbows
Rainbows meet every Tuesday evening between 6-7pm during term time. Girls can join when they are 5yrs old and leave to join Brownies at 7yrs old. There are usually a total of 12 Rainbows in the unit and a waiting list to join. The activities are based on the Rainbow Roundabout which is divided into 4 sections – Look, Learn, Laugh and Love on completion of 4 activities the girls receive a badge. During their time at Rainbows they have the opportunity to collect a variety of badges. This year the girls also had badges to celebrate 25 years of Rainbows, together with a district party which was held at the Solihull Methodist Church. Another special celebration was the Queens Diamond Jubilee. The girls had great fun completing the Jubliee challenge badge which included learning the national anthem and making up 10 rules they would have in their Queendom. Rainbows will also celebrate Christmas and Easter as well as having lots of fun making the flower arrangements for the church at harvest time.

Brownies
The 11th Solihull Methodist Brownies meet once a week in the Church Hall. We recently celebrated our 50th Anniversary in the Church Hall; where it all began in 1962!

Our Brownies have fun! They take part in indoor and outdoor activities that challenge them to do their best! The meetings are action-packed; full of games and activities. Everything a Brownie does is an adventure – it’s a world of excitement, new interests and friends.

11th Solihull Scout Group
The 11th Solihull Scout Group is sponsored by our church, but open to children of any or no faith.

Scouting caters for everyone and there is no upper age limit for supporters. At 11th Solihull, there are three sections that meet on different evenings of the week. They are:

    • Beavers (6 to 8 year olds)
    • Cubs (8 to 10 1/2 year olds)
    • Scouts (10 1/2 to 14 year olds)

Leadership and Active Support – as with any organisation we need people to run evenings, be a leader, provide skill instruction or off general weekly or even ad hoc support to all the sections.
