Messy Church is for all ages of children, particularly up to about age 10… and for all the family. So children, bring your parents, grandparents or carers and we will enjoy a range of activities, have tea and a short worship time singing action songs. This is church and it is fun! We are holding Messy Church on Saturday afternoons so that Mum and Dad, if working in the week, can come too. All are welcome!
Over a hundred people turned up to our Messy Crib service on Christmas Eve which included Christmas craft activities, an interactive telling of the nativity and dressing up followed by a meal in the church hall for those who wanted it or a cuppa and a mince pie in the church if a light snack was all that was needed.
We are now into 2019 and our next event will be a Messy Play session in the Church Hall on Saturday 26th January at 15:30. This means toys, table top games and a few simple craft activities, sand play and play dough, there will be a few team games while tea is set up then the meal for all at about 17:00. Come along with any combination of family members to play and meet friends. All are welcome.
If the January date is not possible, we shall have Messy Church on Saturday February 23rd, when our theme will be “Jesus goes missing” . This is the only story in the bible of Jesus as a boy. Our craft and worship will be based on this story, when eventually his parents find him in the temple.
You are also very welcome at our regular Sunday services, where children are welcome in the service but there is also provision for children in classes and a crèche.
