Messy Church is for all ages of children, particularly up to about age 10… and for all the family. So children, bring your parents, grandparents or carers and we will enjoy a range of activities, have tea and a short worship time singing action songs. This is church and it is fun! We are holding Messy Church on Saturday afternoons so that Mum and Dad, if working in the week, can come too. All are welcome!
Our Messy Play session in the church was reasonably well attended, given that it was in the half term holiday. There was a variety of activities to keep everyone busy, including craft and playdough, games and toys, balloons to run around and play with and parachute games to finish off our session in the church before a cooked tea in the hall.
Our next session is Messy Church themed Around the World, when we think of who are our neighbours, here and abroad. We have decided to try this in the church too with the worship there based on the story of the Good Samaritan….and then returning to the hall for the meal. So we look forward to seeing you in the church on Saturday November 23rd at 3.30pm.
In December Messy Church will take place on Christmas Eve with a combination of craft and a crib service in the church, followed by food. The format is different from our norm, but reminding us all of why we celebrate Christmas. Make a date in your diary for the afternoon of Christmas Eve!
You are also very welcome at our regular Sunday services, where children are welcome in the service and there is also provision for children in their own classes and a crèche.
