Messy Church is for all ages of children, particularly up to about age 10… and for all the family. So children, bring your parents, grandparents or carers and we will enjoy a range of activities, have tea and a short worship time singing action songs. This is church and it is fun! We are holding Messy Church on Saturday afternoons so that Mum and Dad, if working in the week, can come too. All are welcome!
Christmas Eve afternoon saw a very well attended Messy Crib service with opportunities for young and old to hear the Christmas story and for children to take part in acting it out with a variety of costumes provided. There were craft activities and then refreshments or a full meal in the church hall afterwards. A great way to experience the real meaning of Christmas before returning home for the excitement of Father Christmas, presents, turkey and crackers on Christmas Day.
We are now into a new year and our next Messy session will be on Saturday 25th January at 3:30pm starting in the church. We shall be retelling the story of Joseph and his special coat and offering a variety of craft activities to pass a winter’s afternoon. A short interactive worship will be followed by a meal in the church hall before the close at 5:30pm. We hope you will come and join us, no need to register, just turn up.
If you miss this one, make a note that our February event will be on Saturday 22nd , as always from 3:30 pm to 5:30pm and will be a Messy Play session in the church. There will be toys, some craft, games and activities followed by a meal in the church hall.
You are also very welcome at our regular Sunday services, where children are welcome in the service and there is also provision for children in their own classes and a crèche.
