Christmas Angels Project

Calling all knitters!

Please help us to share God’s love and bless our community at Christmas time with the gift of a knitted angel carrying a Christmas message from our church.

We are encouraging our church family and friends to help us by knitting Christmas angels. Some of these will be distributed in public spaces before Christmas for people to find and keep. Each angel will have a gift tag with a simple Christmas message from our church, as well as the church website address and QR code to enable people to find out more about our activities.

Other angels will be used as gifts to residents of local care homes when we go there to sing carols during Advent.

Angels can be any colour to reflect the diversity within our community. Please include a loop on the head to enable them to be hung on trees and hedges. A cotton wool ball is the perfect size to stuff an angel’s head.

We would like to collect all the knitted angels by the end of November to allow time to add the gift tag and be ready to distribute them early in December. For further information or for a printed copy of the pattern, please contact us here.
