Service
‘You also ought to wash one another’s feet…’
Jesus in John’s Gospel (13.14)
We believe that God is as interested in what we are doing at 10:30 on Monday morning as he is in what we do at 10:30 on Sunday morning. So we value, and try to support, our members’ paid and unpaid work in the community and see all of it as part of their offering to God, their Christian service.

And, as a Church, we seek to use our premises and our other resources to serve the wider community. So many groups and bodies, including uniformed children’s organisations, use our church rooms for meetings at rates which we keep at a level which ensures we can maintain them to a high standard but no more.
We support many causes and projects at home and abroad and ensure that a high proportion of the church’s income goes to charitable work outside our own community. Many of our members give generously of their time and skills as volunteers in such diverse areas as the Hospice, the town centre Chaplaincy and the Samaritans.
